About Us
"Hartsfield is a welcoming and happy school" (Ofsted January 2020) where we work together to ensure all children have equality of opportunity to fulfil their potential.
We are a successful and over-subscribed Junior Mixed Infant school that offers exciting learning opportunities for children aged 4-11 on a beautiful site in the historic market town of Baldock.
We are immensely proud of our children and staff and as a partnership of children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community, we aim to foster a love of learning in each child within a safe and stimulating learning environment where children are happy, confident and motivated to learn. We seek to nurture a positive self-image in every child so that all children feel valued and respected and in turn develop an awareness, appreciation and respect of others.

We understand that all children are individuals and therefore our "broad and balanced curriculum" (Ofsted January 2020) and extensive extracurricular programme seek to provide opportunities for children to experience success whatever their strengths.
We believe that all the above help develop positive and transferable learning and life-skills that are essential for our children's success and happiness not just at school but for life beyond Hartsfield.
Visitors are always welcome, so if you would like to meet me, the staff and our children, please contact us to arrange a convenient time. Admissions to the school are made through the Hertfordshire Education Authority.
I hope you find this website useful and that it gives you an insight to our amazing children, families, governors and staff.
